“Sitting by the lakeside with an old sepia postcard in my hand, the scene seems little changed from the images of the first Zeppelin flight on 2nd July 1900. The harbour still bustles with boats, on the shore groups of children splash in the clear water as they did
a century ago and across the lake countless white flecks of sail dance with the wind.
All that is needed to complete the scene is a Zeppelin flying overhead... and incredibly there it is – moving against the hazy glare of the sun.”
